Tenlo is a peer-to-peer marketplace platform that allows users to buy and sell products with an installment payment system, based in Portugal.
· You must be at least 18 years old to register.
· The information provided must be truthful and up to date.
· You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
· The buyer pays an upfront payment proportional to the total (price + service fee + insurance) upon confirming the order. The upfront percentage is set by the seller between 30% and 50%.
· The remaining amount is divided into monthly installments of 1 to 4 months according to the chosen plan. The number the buyer selects is the total number of payments including the upfront.
· Installments can be paid in two ways: (a) manually from the Tenlo wallet balance before each due date, or (b) via PayPal with automatic monthly charge requiring no action from the buyer.
· Non-payment of installments may result in account suspension and automatic opening of a dispute.
· Identity verification (KYC) is mandatory to access financing.
Tenlo applies a service fee of 6% to 13% on the product price based on the buyer's trust level. This fee is clearly indicated before confirming each purchase. PayPal deposits are subject to a fee of 3.4% + €0.35. Wallet withdrawals carry a fee of €0.50 + 1%.
· When buying in installments, the buyer may choose to include insurance of 8% on the product price.
· With active insurance: in the event of proven seller default (non-delivery or product significantly different from described), Tenlo will refund the buyer up to 60% of the financed amount once the dispute is resolved in the buyer's favour.
· Without insurance: Tenlo will act as a mediator in the dispute, may suspend or block the seller's account, and will provide the buyer with all necessary documentation to initiate legal proceedings. However, Tenlo does not guarantee any financial refund in this case.
· Insurance does not cover: disputes based on subjective dissatisfaction, change of mind, damage from improper use of the product, or defaults reported more than 30 days after delivery.
· Sellers are responsible for the accurate description of their products.
· Sales funds are credited to the seller's wallet.
· Withdrawals are processed within 1-2 business days.
· The seller must accept or reject installment purchase requests within a reasonable time.
· Repeated non-compliance by a seller may result in permanent account suspension and retention of pending funds.
Identity verification is required to make installment purchases. Tenlo may request additional documentation at any time to comply with applicable regulations.
· In the event of a dispute between buyer and seller, Tenlo acts as an impartial mediator.
· Disputes must be opened within 30 days of the estimated or agreed delivery date.
· Tenlo may, at its discretion, suspend or block the seller's account during dispute investigation and withhold pending funds until resolution.
· If the dispute is resolved in favour of the buyer and they purchased insurance, they will receive the corresponding refund as outlined in section 5.
· If the dispute is resolved in favour of the buyer but without insurance, Tenlo will provide documentation to initiate legal action and will block the seller's account.
It is prohibited to sell illegal products, counterfeits, weapons, controlled substances or any item whose sale is restricted by Portuguese or European law.
Tenlo acts as an intermediary and is not responsible for the quality, safety or legality of products sold by third parties. The maximum refund guaranteed by Tenlo in the event of a dispute with active insurance is 60% of the financed amount.
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts of Lisbon, Portugal.
